FANUC drilling and milling machine panels typically feature the following characteristics and functional areas:
Display:
Usually a liquid crystal display for displaying machining information, program content, machine tool status, etc., such as current coordinate values, tool position, machining parameters, etc., to facilitate the real-time monitoring of the machining process by the operator.
Pattern selection area:
Includes a variety of working modes, such as automatic mode, manual mode, editing mode, return to zero mode, etc. The mode can be switched by pressing the corresponding key or knob to meet different operation requirements. For example, in automatic mode, the machine tool processes according to the preset program; manual mode can be used to manually operate the movement of each axis of the machine tool, the start and stop of the spindle, etc.
Program editing area:
There are keys for writing, modifying, and deleting the machining program, such as character input keys, delete keys, insert keys, etc. The operator can perform the editing work of the program in this area, input machining instructions and parameters.
Axle Control Area:
Equipped with keys or joysticks to control the movement of each coordinate axis of the CNC machine tool, such as the move keys for the X, Y, Z axes, which can achieve the movement of the machine tool workbench and tool in all directions. In addition, there may be a rapid move rate knob to adjust the movement speed of the coordinate axes.
Main spindle control area:
Mainly used to control the rotation of the spindle, including the starting, stopping, forward, reverse, and speed adjustment of the spindle. There is usually a speed setting knob or a digital input box to facilitate the operator to set the spindle speed according to the processing requirements.
Tool control area:
If the machine tool is equipped with an automatic tool changer, there will be relevant tool selection and tool change control keys in this area. The required tool can be selected by pressing the key, and the tool exchange process can be controlled to achieve quick and accurate tool change.
Accessibility Area:
Function keys that include some auxiliary processing functions, such as the start and stop keys for the cooling pump, the control keys for the chip conveyor, etc., are used to control the auxiliary equipment of the machine tool, ensuring the smooth progress of the processing process.
Emergency stop button:
It is a conspicuous red button, which in an emergency, the operator can press to immediately cut off the power supply to the machine tool, causing the machine tool to stop moving, to avoid danger or damage to the equipment.
